Absolutely not! Our beginner program is specifically designed for people with zero martial arts experience. We will guide you through every step of your journey.For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing (t-shirt, shorts or athletic pants). We provide loaner gis (uniforms) for trial classes. No shoes are worn on the mat.Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our classes are structured with proper warm-ups, controlled drilling, and supervised sparring. Beginners learn in a separate, controlled environment.We recommend 2-3 times per week for beginners. As you progress, you can increase training frequency. Consistency is more important than intensity when starting out.Our Kids program accepts students ages 5-12. Our Teens program is for ages 13-17. We assess each child individually to ensure they are ready for the class environment.Yes! We offer a free trial class so you can experience Legacy X firsthand. No commitment required. Simply fill out our trial form or contact us to schedule your session.Gi training uses a traditional uniform (kimono) which allows for grip-based techniques. No-Gi training uses rash guards and shorts, focusing on wrestling-based grips. We teach both styles.Absolutely. We have an active competition team coached by experienced competitors. Competition is optional — many of our students train purely for fitness and self-defense.
